ABOUT ME
Born To Write
From a young age, I have been using writing as a tool to sort through my (often complex) thoughts, feelings, and emotions. As a teenager, I would fill up diaries and notebooks with my coming-of-age experiences; most of these original works were burnt in the park near my house when they became too painful to re-read.

It took me several years to embrace that authentic writing, even when filled with painful and difficult themes, could still be incredibly beautiful. In the spirit of a true tortured artist, I've found a way to honour the complexities of human emotion and experience. My writing is often autobiographical, deeply personal, and full of messy feelings. In many ways, it's the only way I know how to write. I tried to write fiction, but that quickly went out the window. Nonfiction has always been my calling.

In 2016, I took a hiatus from the corporate world, and moved to Switzerland to start a family. As a stay-at-home mom, I was looking for a professional pursuit that would also provide a creative outlet.
In late 2016, I started to pick up some freelance jobs, writing articles for various websites. Little by little, my portfolio built up, and I decided to fulfil a lifelong dream of publishing a book.
In 2019, I self-published my first book, Things That Shine: Poems . My second book, Shadow Work: Poems, was released in April, 2021 with Labee Writing.
Helvetica: Love Letters From Switzerland, was released in June, 2022, and completes the trilogy of poetry collections written in Switzerland.

My favorite topics to write about are personal development, psychology, health & wellness, parenting, and science.

By day, I am an advertising copywriter. When I am not working or running after my two boys, I enjoy reading, hiking, bubble baths, astrology, and music.
